Our story

A working ranch, a family of hosts,
and a weekend that feels like home.

We didn’t set out to build a wedding venue. We built a place we wanted to come home to — and then, to our surprise, it became somewhere other families wanted to come home to too.

The Reeds

The family behind the barn.

Reed Ranch sits on land that’s been in the family for generations — wheat country in the rolling hills outside Davenport, an hour west of Spokane. The barn you’ll dance in once held hay bales. The shop where receptions happen was a working tractor barn.

When we converted these spaces, we did it with our own hands and the help of friends and neighbors. We kept the bones — the timber, the high ceilings, the wide doors that swing open to the field — and added the comforts a wedding day needs. Suites for getting ready. Power and lighting. An aisle that walks just right.

Today, Reed Ranch is run by Dakota Reed with the help of the rest of the Reed family. We host one wedding a weekend, and we’re here, on the property, the whole time. If something comes up, you’ll find one of us.

“The love and care for their beautiful property definitely shows. Without a doubt, they put in the hard work to create such a perfect wedding spot.”

What we believe

Three things we hold to,
weekend after weekend.

01

One wedding a weekend.

We don’t rush turnovers, double-book, or split our attention. Friday through Sunday, the ranch is yours.

02

Hands-on, never hands-off.

We live here. The Reed family is on-site through the weekend — quietly behind the scenes, never in the way, always close if you need us.

03

Country, with care.

This is real wheat country, not a backdrop. We tell you what to expect — dust, sunsets, stars, the occasional bug — and we make it beautiful.

What makes us different

A weekend, not just a Saturday.

A traditional wedding venue gives you a day. Reed Ranch gives you three. You arrive Friday afternoon. There’s a campfire. The wedding party gathers. You get the rehearsal out of the way without the pressure of a ticking clock, and the rest of the night is yours.

Saturday is the day, set in a barn or a field — or a country church just half a mile down the road. Sunday morning you’re still here. Coffee on the porch, leftover cake, time with people you don’t see often enough. That’s the part you remember.

Photography, on us

Dakota’s behind the camera, too.

Our Gold package includes wedding photography by Dakota — eight hours on your day, plus the photo booth. Couples often say the pictures are the part they didn’t know they needed. We do.

Because we know the property, we know where the light lands. Where the sky opens. Which corner of the barn glows at 7:30 in July. You don’t have to chase a stranger photographer around the property — we live here.
